The Hearts were once the cultural epicenter of the Realm, until a line of mad kings took hold. The Hearts rule the western deserts of Thraul and their civilization is in a state of ruin. There is a clear divide between the haves and the have nots and the nation's citizens are poor. A history of alchemy and raising the dead has led to the cultural demise of the Heart's civilization.

The Realm of Thraul is a fantasy world created by Rich Kunz of Diligent Visual, exploring four unique yet symbiotic kingdoms locked in a power struggle. The Realm feels familiar, as the cultures are interpretations of traditional playing card suits.
